Challenge

sueno makes premium handmade beds in Yorkshire. Its old Shopify theme came from before Online Store 2.0 and looked dated. It didn’t reflect the quality of the product or the craft behind it. Shoppers had a wide choice of fabrics, but they couldn’t see a bed in the fabric they wanted before buying.

Solution

We designed and built a new Shopify Plus theme on Online Store 2.0. It gives sueno a premium online presence that matches the beds it makes.

Next we modelled the whole product range in 3D. Shoppers can view every bed in every available fabric, from multiple angles. That came to around 29,000 renders, so the bed on screen matches the one that gets delivered.

Solution

The bed configurator is the centre of the product page. Choose a fabric and the imagery updates to match, which makes choosing from a big range feel simple.

We kept sueno’s fabric sample journey outside the Shopify checkout and built it into the new design. Requesting a sample takes a couple of clicks, so shoppers can feel the fabric before they commit.

“Our old site didn’t do justice to the beds we make. Northern Artillery gave us a site that finally feels like sueno. Customers can now see every bed in the exact fabric they want, and the numbers since launch speak for themselves.”
