Rieker

Founded in Southern Germany in 1874, Rieker is a fifth-generation, family-owned footwear brand with around 23,000 employees worldwide and a network of approximately 9,000 independent retailers across Europe.

Following its move to Shopify Plus, Rieker appointed us to rebuild the theme for its UK e-commerce website. The brief was to create a faster, more intuitive and easier-to-manage storefront that better reflected the strength of the brand while providing a stronger foundation for future growth.

Although Rieker had already migrated to Shopify Plus, the existing theme was not giving the business the level of flexibility, performance or day-to-day control it needed.

The site presented opportunities to improve product discovery, customer journeys, merchandising flexibility and content management, particularly for the internal team managing the store.

We were appointed to rethink and rebuild the Shopify theme, creating a more refined customer experience while making the platform easier to manage, faster to update and better equipped for ongoing optimisation.

We delivered a rebuilt Shopify Plus storefront designed around performance, usability and long-term flexibility.

The new experience gives customers a cleaner, more intuitive journey across the site, while providing the Rieker team with greater control over content, merchandising and promotional areas without unnecessary development dependency.

The new theme architecture was built to make ongoing site management faster and simpler, giving the business a platform that can continue to evolve alongside its UK e-commerce strategy.
