Client services team

Summary of role

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Operations to play a pivotal role in how the business runs, performs and grows. With a busy studio and a team of production specialists, things move quickly. This role ensures everything stays organised, efficient and high-performing.

Working closely with the leadership team, you’ll support our production departments, oversee workflow and resourcing, and line-manage our Scheduling Assistant. You’ll focus on improving operational efficiency, elevating output quality, and providing accurate reporting and insight to inform decision-making at board level.

If you enjoy making things work better, bringing clarity to busy environments, and helping people do their best work, you’ll fit right in.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day studio and production operations
  • Own studio workflows, resource planning and scheduling
  • Lead operational problem-solving, removing blockers before they escalate
  • Coach, support and line-manage our Studio Assistant
  • Oversee and own documented processes, tooling and internal communication
  • Work with finance on forecasting, budgets and commercial oversight
  • Produce clear reporting and operational insight for leadership and the board
  • Support leadership with structure, planning and operational decision-making
  • Help maintain a positive, supportive and accountable studio culture

About you

  • Proven operations experience within a creative, digital or production-led environment
  • Comfortable managing people and supporting team development
  • Strong understanding of workflow management, resourcing and delivery cycles
  • Confident working with numbers, forecasting, capacity and utilisation
  • Clear communicator who brings clarity and calm under pressure
  • Enjoys solving problems, improving systems and creating order
  • Highly organised, detail-driven and comfortable making decisions
  • Bonus experience (nice to have)
  • Jira or similar workflow or project management platforms
  • Float or similar resource planning and scheduling tools
  • Xero or basic financial operations experience
  • Notion or similar documentation and knowledge management tools

What success looks like

  • The studio runs smoothly and consistently
  • Teams have clarity and fewer last-minute scrambles
  • Processes improve steadily and meaningfully
  • The Studio Assistant feels supported and confident
  • Leadership has visibility on operations and key metrics
