The 3D Animator will be a key part of our growing creative team in Leeds, working alongside 3D/Motion graphics artists and reporting to the Motion Director. This role is focused on delivering innovative and visually stunning animations for product and architectural projects. Using 3D Studio Max as your primary tool, you will focus on 3D animation creation while also being proficient in Adobe After Effects and Premiere for post-production.
The successful candidate can take projects from concept to completion, including creative pre-production, animation, render management and final edit. You will bring a creative flair and attention to detail, ensuring animations meet the high-quality standards expected at Northern Artillery.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO THE ROLE
Essential:
• Collaborate and support our 3D artists, project managers, and the Motion Director to develop creative concepts and execute CGI visuals, product and architectural animations.
• Take ownership to pre-visualise animation projects from initial storyboard through to final post-production and delivery.
• A solid understanding of modelling texturing and lighting.
• A creative editing mindset including composition, colour grading, and motion graphics.
• Use your expertise to enhance our animation output and contribute to the creative direction of projects to deliver polished, client ready work.
• Manage and prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with the Motion Director to develop new creative techniques and improve workflow efficiency.
• Open to learning and adopting new tools and techniques.

Knowledge, Skills, and Understanding:
• Advanced proficiency in 3D Studio Max and Corona. (other 3d applications may be considered)
• Strong knowledge of Adobe creative cloud applications.
• Experience conceptualising animations in pre-production.
• Exceptional attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of rendering techniques and pipeline efficiencies and optimisation.
